   Tai Lam Chung Reservoir
    Site Description

Tai Lam Chung Reservoir lies within Tai Lam Chung Valley in Tai Lam Country Park.  The vegetation surrounding the reservoir is mainly plantation woodland.  The water depth varies across the reservoir, and the bottom is mostly sandy and muddy due to eroded soils being washed from uphill areas.  This reservoir is a vast water body and provides diverse habitat types for different fish species including species of conservation interest such as Rich Fish Oryzias curvinotus.
